New Catalog (2016-2017) Event Samples 15

MORE you say?  Yes... there are more.

This one is SPECTACULAR!  The photo turned out so well... can you imagine how amazing this is in person?  It's a WOW!

Here I have another wedding card.

This one I'll admit took some time and thought,  **and technique.  Though this isn't difficult, I wouldn't say this is for a novice card maker.
I don't feel this turned out perfectly, but no one but me and maybe a few others would see any mistakes.

Below you can see the materials I used to make this dazzling, sparkly card!!

Wedding Card

I'm recycling this wedding card *again*.. just because I love it so much!  It has lots of details, and makes such a pretty card!

My very dear friend from high school was married at the end of May, so I sent this out to her.  She's in the middle of her honeymoon, so I do hope she received it before they left!

The Groom heart is a 3 piece process - just like the suit!  Cut the black heart down just past center, and fold the edges out.  Glue them down with a little Zig pen adhesive.  Use a black glaze pen to color the lapels, and a small bow tie cut from a scrap of black.  Allow these to dry.

Adhere the black groom piece on a second white heart, add the bow tie, and then add 3 buttons with your black glaze pen.

Emboss the white heart with a frilly design, and add Diamond Stickles.  When that dries, add pearl accents along the top.

The outside and inside white panels are stamped with a heart from the I{Heart}Hearts stamp set (ret.) in Platinum Brilliance Ink.
Add a frilly Congratulations stamp, some photo corners to each white corner as frame pieces, and your card is finished!

I really love this as a wedding card.

Wedding Dress Form

Stampin' Up has Dress Form framelits.  They are metal dies in 3 shapes,  an elegant dress, a day dress, and a dress form to hang the dress from.

At first I wasn't a big fan of these, but after seeing so many beautiful dress cards made for many different occasions, I got the set.  This is my 2nd paper dress.

One of my co-workers was married last weekend.  She's a crafter too - more painting, and 3D art, but she appreciates my cards and projects too.  I went over to her place a few weeks ago to help get some of her wedding projects done for her fall themed wedding.  It was a GREAT afternoon, and they were beautiful wreaths.

Using the dress form as a base in black,  I cut the dress and embossed it, and folded one of the SU doilies 3 or 4 times to make a ruffly lace skirt.  I added pearls for the choker, and around the waistline.

One thing I meant to do and didn't was to emboss the entire background in silver with the En Francais stamp.  It completely slipped my mind - I think it would have been an amazing background.  Next time.

This is the inside of the card - and I made sure to cover my smudge (oops) from inking the sentiment with writing.  I know you're thinking.... a brown (soft suede) card base for a wedding card?  It totally worked with the theme of her wedding...  fall colors, leaves, and she didn't want anything too white, except her dress.

I presented the card today, and my friend really loved it.  Now I can't wait to see all the pictures from her amazing day.

Wedding Card Variation

One of my husband's coworkers got married a week ago, so we sent some gifts and I made this card. The silver background paper came from the wrapping paper I used from Bed Bath & Beyond. It's so pretty! I added the bride and groom hearts and a new stamp set from Stampin' Up (Petite Pairs). It worked so well as you can see - piece on the front with a matching sentiment for the inside. Love this new set!!!

I used the debossed side of a cuttlebug folder and a silver pen to highlight the scallops.

Wedding Card for my Cousin!

I'm SO excited for my cousin Jon! He's getting married on Monday to a very sweet girl named Olga. My Mom and sister have told me much about her, and Bennie and I are excited to meet her soon!

I've made several versions of this wedding card since the summer, and like it SO much! It's definitely my favorite. They should have the card and gift we sent along by the weekend.

I'm so sorry we couldn't be there, but we definitely will be thinking of them both on their special day!

This is the inside view of the card.

I used a 5 x 7 card base, and 3 Stampin' Up sets, I {Heart} Hearts, Teeny Tiny Wishes, and Salutations along with my Silver Brilliance ink to stamp the silver hearts on the background.

Wedding Card

The Splitcoast Stampers website (almost the be-all and end-all of stamping techniques) had these ADORABLE wedding/anniversary cards... and since I have a very special wedding to attend, I just had to make one!

One difference on the 'tuxedo'... I didn't cut all through to the bottom, but folded back the flaps and used my black glaze pen to make the lapels for the tuxedo. I also hand-cut the tie instead of using black ribbon as the other samples have done.

I embossed the white heart with a Cuttlebug strip, used Diamond Stickles to highlight the raised area... and then half-pearls to highlight the top of the 'dress'.

For the Newlyweds stamp comes from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set, and my two newest punches; Word Window and two of the Modern Label punches... one cut to make a 2nd layer.

On the white areas, I used Silver Brilliance Ink to stamp the flowered heart from the stamp set I {Heart} Hearts to give some continuity between the background paper (Paper Studio Wedding Stack) and the white foreground piece.

I also used the photocorners from the Jasmine cartridge.

Before sealing the envelope, I did add the Congratulations stamp from one of the newer sets on the top center of the card.
