Painted Blooms DSP One Sheet Wonders

When I first saw this paper, I fell in LOVE LOVE LOVE!

As I've said before,  I went back to the classroom full time, and it really put a CRAMP in my crafting time! That said, when I saw this paper, I really wanted to have a class and let others learn how amazing this paper is!

I don't do many classes...  this was my 2nd one, I believe.  Maybe it was the third.  I can't remember, it's been so long!

The story behind this Designer Series Paper is that this sheet was painted by a designer, and then used as 2 of the sheets in our 12x12 paper pack.

There was a tutorial on Pinterest, and I thought this would be a wonderful class for card-makers of all levels.
Above, I put the cards back in the same order as the original sheet.
Below you can see all 6 cards made with this one sheet of paper with some additions and embellishments.

More in the next post using other sheets from the DSP pack.

Operation Write Home - Box 1

Here is a sample of the 55 cards I sent in my first box to Operation Write Home.  OWH always has some challenge or other going on as well as mini-challenges on the Facebook page or their blog page.

One of my Cricut/Facebook friends mentioned OWH, and I looked into it.... and here I go with another project! I do love these - challenges, deadlines, and oh yes, you have to be creative!

I used some of my new Stampin' Up products that are coming available now in January, as well as some of the Sale-a-bration items available later this month!
I really love the sailboat, and have found lots of use for it.  I got out the Spectrum Noir markers, and had a good time working with blending the alcohol inks.

Here we have a triple-time-stamping sample using the Everything Eleanor stamp set.

Below, is one of my very favorite retired Stampin' Up sets - Watercolor Garden  I get an incredible amount of use out of it - One Sheet Wonders, etc....  Flowers anyone??

Are you tired of seeing the Stippled Blossoms yet?  I LOVE them!  Looks great with the colors... so springy!

I found an entire set of card sketches on the OWH website, and decided to play with one of them under the flowers theme.  Even if it is in the middle of winter....  flowers are always so nice to have around!!

Here's another retired Stampin' Up set - I really like how the alcohol markers make the flowers look so pretty!  I added some photo corners, and lots of little details.

I saw a sample of this on a blog, and thought it would be great for the winter themed cards.....  Here I used my Tsukineko brilliance inks - Sky Blue and Platinum with some pearls and rhinestones.

Here you can see some of the new stamps - the hummingbird, butterfly, and flower come from the Sale-a-bration brochure, and the sentiment stamp is from the new January catalog.  I'm going to get lots of use out of these stamps!
So that's my first post for Operation Write Home cards!!!!  I'm already working on the 2nd box with new challenges and assignments.

Check out the Facebook pages and blog pages!

2012 Christmas Card Challenge - October!

Well, here we are, it's already October 5th!  Halloween is coming quickly, temperatures are cooling off, or at least I think they should be!  Don't forget that Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and of course, Christmas is coming!! :)

I'm so curious to hear how everyone celebrates Halloween!  We don't do that much.  I buy lots of bags of candy, and we've started setting up the card table and sitting out in the driveway to watch all the little kids and big kids alike coming down the street.  I'll carve pumpkins using the Pumpkin Masters, so it's nice to hear everyone OOOOooh and AAAAAh over them. :)

Alright, here we go!!

The theme for October's Christmas Card Challenge is:  Christmas Lights!

In any way, shape, or form, you must put some type of Christmas lights on your card - Mine are Kitchen Sink stamps.  There are 3D lights, Cricut cut lights on the Christmas Cheer cartridge, stickers, etc.  So many Christmas Tree Lights! :)

As always, there are the basic rules, 6 cards all based on the given theme, and posted here by midnight on the 20th of October, CST.

HERE is a link to the original post with the rules.  Really, very simple and straightforward!

Just can't wait to see what you've come up with!!  Put mine to shame for sure.

My cards are a version of the One Sheet Wonders, stamped with Kitchen Sink stamps.  I went CRAZY over these when I first saw them...  Just HAD to have 'em, and I use them very often.
HERE is a link to the stamping tutorial I wrote with photos at each step of the way to show how these awesome lights are made.

I used some of the new Stampin' Up products - the Punch Pack, the die cut edges, the embossing folder that compliments it, and one of the new Christmas Stamp sets.

I was planning on adding some ribbon, but started gluing, and when I was finished, I realized it!  Big OOPS there! :)

Click on the link, and enter your cards below!!!

Thank You Cards, Congratulations, Happy Birthday, and a CUTE Project!

This post has lots of different cards.... I've been so busy with different projects, I thought I'd just put them all together, and explain each with a caption. Please enjoy!!

My youngest nephew just celebrated his 17th birthday, and in addition to being a very cool, awesome kid, he's got planes on the brain. I used the Need For Speed Stampin' Up stamp for this, and a new Ranger Ink I bought.... Black Enamel. YES! It's just like stickles, but solid black, and dries very shiny! I know my sister will love this!

We just have a new entry into the job market in the family, landing a GREAT job - so this was the card I sent, with a message on how thrilled I was regarding this great job... and how all the hard work has really paid off.

This is the Thank You card I sent along with the prizes for the April Christmas Card Challenge... Bashful Blue on vellum, with Dazzling Diamonds embossing powder.

Aren't these ADORABLE?? I bought them in February from OT... and have been using them as Mother's Day gifts with my kids. They turned out cuter than I imagined. I just had to share. :)
They are recipe holders! There's a clothespin on the back to hold it above the flower.

Stampin' Up One Sheet Wonders!

Here are just a few of the One Sheet Wonder Thank You cards I made for our recent testing at school...  They are for the volunteers, and the teachers that worked so hard to help with testing.

These are just so versatile...  I love them for Thank You cards, but they can be used for all occasions.

Colors I used:  Regal Rose, Almost Amethyst (ret.), Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi for the stamped images, and cardstock.  I also used Melon Mambo, Basic Black (on one), Ballet Blue (ret.), and More Mustard for some of the sentiments to bring up the color and accents a little more.

Cards for Soldiers - February Happy Valentine's Day!

I haven't made Cards for Soldiers in awhile simply because it's been crazy busy here. I missed crafting a lot so I decided to make some Valentine Cards.

LOVE the Kitchen Sink Stamps, and I haven't used them in awhile. There are so many pretty heart/rose images from this company! I also got out one of my favorite heart wheels and used a darker pink just to be able to see the hearts running across the background!

Here is a set I made similar to last year - One Sheet Wonders using red and pink roses with the Romance embossing folder.

Please Enjoy!

One Sheet Wonders - Thank You Cards

We just finished up our state testing this week, and had many volunteers from the community come to help us monitor testing in each of the classrooms. I made these
cards to send as Thank You cards. They gave up part of their day (or in some cases many days) to help us out at the school. These were just a small token to show how grateful we were that they could help us out.

Our principal, the other test coordinator and I each wrote a small note of thanks in the cards, and I delivered them Friday... and have just a few more to deliver this week.
