Thank You for a Lovely, Thoughtful Gift

Monday morning, March 17th, 2014, I had to put my beloved Hankie to sleep.  He was given to me in August 1999 by a teacher friend, and was my constant companion the last 14 years.  It was a terribly difficult decision, and I miss him more than you can imagine.

There's a video I posted on YouTube of Hankie calling me Mama - he never did that to anyone else.  I miss my Hankie very much.

My dear friend Melissa came over a few days later and brought me a wonderful gift of an angel holding a kitty.

I made this card to thank her for such thoughtful gift.

Christmas Gifts - Checkbook Covers and Bookmarks

A few months ago for our Stampin' Up Card Club, our Demo Kathy had these checkbook covers for us to decorate. She also had some samples of the bookmarks she'd made for us to look at.
My first though (along with some of the other girls) was 'What GREAT gifts!!'
So this is what I came up with:

This set is for my cousin's new wife Olga.

This set went to my nephew's wife Alex... she LOVES
daisies, and the color turquoise!

This set is for my sister Gail. She loves flowers and
always has cardinals out her door where she feeds them.

Sunflowers?? Has to be for Mom!!! She also sews constantly
so I thought the buttons would be lots of fun.

This set went to my Aunt Nancy... she loves kitties too!!!
and I also know how she loves purple.

I sure hoped they like the checkbook covers and bookmarks!!!

Your comments are always appreciated!

Lime Light Design Team - Animal Shelter Project!

In an earlier post about this challenge, I promised a more complete view of some of the things I made for this project. Though this isn't everything, it shows a lot of the things I made to help the animal shelter raise money for caring for the animals.

I got this stamp on ebay, and couldn't resist. People do keep birds as pets too!!

These are the Joy-Fold cards for kitties, and...
the Joy-Fold cards for doggies!
Corner bookmarks
I made a BUNCH of these post-it-note holders!!! I also got most of these kitty stamps from ebay as well... along with some other kitty stamps I had in my stash.
3 more bookmarks made with the jumbo paper clips.

Lime Light Design Team Call and Pre-view!

I just wanted to show a peek of things I've made for our latest project.

These two shutterfold cards are for raising money for animal shelters to help with the costs of food and upkeep for the animals.

Next week, I'm showing ALL the items I made for this project!

The cat card is stamped and watercolored with Stampin' Up products.

The dog card is from the Cricut Cartridge Paper pups. How cute is he!!??

Stop by later to see all the great STUFF I made!!
Look at my other post about joining our Design Team. It's a great opportunity to help others and stretch your skills!!

Watercolor Technique with Stampin Up WC Crayons

These are 3 of the SU watercolor sets. Can you see I've always got 3 or 4 projects going!!?? I just have to switch off. They all get done in good time, but when I get bored with one, I move on to the next one. Is that crafting ADHD? LOL
Here you can see the size of the crayons... and the 4 Zig water pens I bought awhile ago. The brushes are all different sizes, and I've used them all already!

I was told this was the way to load the color onto the pen, and it really is easier than going from the pointed top end.
In-progress coloring....

I colored these a few days ago... they look even better than I imagined they would!! Please enjoy.

At our last meeting of my Stamp Club, we used the watercolor technique! WHAT FUN!!!

SO, here's a quick showing of what I've been working on for the Design Team with watercolors. I also colored some things for the baby book I finished TODAY!
