Christmas in July 7

This card turned out much differently than it started!  Vanilla on a white background just doesn't look quite right, so after a little adjusting, and a new background, this card came to be.

I'm using old DSP called Be Of Good Cheer - long retired Stampin' Up Designer Series Paper I really, REALLY love and have a pretty good amount stashed.

It comes in handy when I make cards with my therapy kids, and just because I think it's fantastic Christmas paper.

I'm giving my rhinestones a work-out this month with this ornament punch... they just make it look so much better, IMO.

This is my card for July 7th - Christmas in July.
Please enjoy!

Christmas in July 4

Happy 4th of July!
I hope your day is filled with family, cookouts, and fireworks!!!!

We always had a cookout and then as kids, we had sparklers in the yard, and dad would shoot of some of his Black Cats... make tin cans fly and other fun stuff for the kids.
As we got older, we started going into Sheboygan for the fireworks over the lake.  They are always awesome!

Here's my Card - Red White and Blue but still Christmas!

I used all retired products on this card except the embossing folders.   Brilliant Blue Ink, ornament stamp set, sentiment from another Christmas set... and the white satin ribbon colored with the Brilliant blue ink.

Please enjoy!

The 2012 Christmas Card Challenge! January

Here it is!!! The FIRST 2012 Christmas Card Challenge for January.

Please refer to this POST by clicking HERE for all the rules and regs for participating in this challenge. (They're easy!!)

Post the above logo on your blog, and link back to this post so when people click it, they can go right from your blog here, and so on and so forth.
OK.... so here it is!

January 2012's challenge is: Ornaments!
Make your 6 cards including ornaments, post it to your blog, and use the linky (at the end) in this post to link back here.

Remember you have until midnight on the 20th with voting starting on the 21st through the 24th! The winner will be announced on the 25th.

Here are my two pictures for this Challenge. I really LOVE these ornaments!
Christmas trees and the ornaments are some of my absolute favorite things at Christmas time, and here's a chance that on Jan. 5th your tree is still up and you're looking at some ornaments! Ours is! We're taking it down a little later this week. :)

I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the background red paper with Musical Flourish, and then Cherry Cobbler ink to highlight the embossing. White, red, and green rhinestones highlight spots on the ornaments. I used the Ultimate Crafter's Companion to tie the bows, and DCWV paper from the Merry Christmas stack at the bottom.
Did you stamp your envelopes? I did, but didn't take a picture. Next time!!

SO.... write up your card/inspiration etc. and include your post above in the linky!
GOOD LUCK!!

Christmas Cards 2011

As LONG as the calendars took this year to make, I was thrilled that my Christmas cards, though VERY cute didn't take near as long to make! I made 29 (yes, a weird number) and they are all sent. Delivery should come soon!!

This one is a little more special for Mom and Dad... extra rhinestones, extra ribbon, etc.

Using variations of background reds/greens, and different patterned paper at the bottom, this is what the cards looked like.

Even my husband got in the act and helped me with address labels, stamps, and return address labels! What a shock! THANKS for the help, Bennie!!!

Latest Christmas Cards

This card was made for my sister. She loves the feel of the heat embossing - so anything I make for her MUST have something shiny for her to feel! :) I love the Debbie Mumm paper so much - these penguins just are so perfect.

I have some fantastic co-workers at my new school campus, and I just wanted to let them know how much I appreciate all their help in adjusting to a new building.

I made this one especially for our cafeteria manager. She's allowed me to use a little space in her ovens to heat some food for our pot-luck gatherings. I appreciate her so much!!

My husband requested a card for his sister and her family.. so I came up with this one. It looks a little busy, but is very nice in person! I also decorated the inside, but took the picture after he's written in it... so sorry!
All photo corners are from the Cricut Cartridge Jasmine. I cut a sheet of many different colors, and have them in individual baggies. I then store the individuals in a gallon bag, so I have photo corners in any color just when I need them!

November's Stamp - a - Stack!

This card uses vellum, white embossing powders for the trees, and sentiment on the front, as well as the frosted white shimmer paint, and the Patterned Pines stamp set.

This one has to be my very favorite! I love anything Christmas anyway (can't you tell?) and the ornaments are SO pretty!!! Can you see the shimmery snowflakes on the white background?

Cardinals singing in the tree.. this card had lots of steps to it, but it just looks like the perfect winter scene!!

There's just something about pink and green together that are perfect. It's not your typical Christmas card, but it's so elegant in person!

Friday night my card club got together, and we made 12 Christmas cards... 3 of each of the designs above.

Kathy, our Stampin' Up rep is always SO prepared, and has the absolute cutest ideas for cards! GO Kathy! Contact her here to set up a show, or order Stampin' Up product! She's the BEST!!
