2010 CD Case Calendars - Landscape!

Here are the 2010 calendars I designed, and Mom and I made towards the end of January. They just couldn't make a visit any sooner, so I finished the January/May page, and had to wait until they could clear their busy schedule!!

I had most of the cuts ready and trimmed so all we had to do was put all the pages together. It took us about a week working quite leisurely. Since this is the 2nd year we've made these, it seemed to go so much smoother and was much less stressful.

I like the designs this year much better too, which I'll contribute to another year of experience and learning techniques.
Cartridges I used:
Designer's Calendar,
Graphically Speaking
Love Struck
Lyrical Letters
Life's a Beach
Hello Kitty
Doodlecharms
and
Everyday Paper Dolls
I also used some stamp sets from
Stampin' Up, Hobby Lobby, and other
sources. The strawberries come from
Kitchen Sink stamps. Border punches
on many of the months are from
Martha Stewart.
Now to start looking for ideas for 2011!!!
Your comments are always welcome!

2010 CD Case Calendars

Here are the first 3 pages made for the 2010 calendars! Notice they're in a much different format this year.

I ordered the landscape calendars from http://www.calendar-case.com/ which gives me MUCH more space to work with in the calendars. I'm able to double-mat the month along with more space for cuts from my new cartridges!

When Mom and Dad arrive for their first visit to the new house, Mom and I will get the rest of the pages finished. Right now, between gifts and DT projects, I'm working hard on getting all the cuts ready we'll need to make all the rest of the calendars.

There will be a total of 20 calendars made this year!!! WHEW!

Post 5 of New "Old" Things - Altered Notebooks!

November/December 2008
These are more of the notebooks I sent for our Ronald McDonald project through the Lime Light Design Team.
The cartridges I used for these - Graphically Speaking (What an AWESOME cart!), Home Accents, and Accent Essentials mostly.
The flowers are from Hobby Lobby- a brand called Petaloo. They adhere nicely with the Zots and layer up with the sparkly centers very well.
I used Glossy Accents to make the popsickle from the Doodlecharms cart look more realistic. It took a long time to dry, but looked GREAT!!

Post 4 of New "Old" Things - Altered Notebooks!

November/December 2008
These altered notebooks were one of our Lime Light Design Team projects for the Ronald McDonald house. These are the Disney character notebooks...
The interesting thing with these notebooks is that I used the binding color to cover the inside raw edges from the cover paper. They looked GREAT!
I enjoyed these so much - I made Christmas gifts for the entire family using their own personal interests!

Christmas Gifts for my Family and Friends

My cousin Jon is quite a hunter...

This one is for my very dear friend. She's a great, funny, smart, amazing lady... and my friend!

Dad belongs to a bowling league, and when I saw this paper, I thought immediately of him.

My nephew is finishing architectural school soon...

My uncle LOVES his hunting dog from long ago.

My mom is an avid bird watcher, and I know she'll love this.

This one goes to a very dear friend who has become like a sister.

My husband requested a Texas notebook for his office.

This went to a dear friend who is more musically talented than any other person I've ever met.

This was the first notebook I made as a gift. When I saw the paper, I knew it was for my sister.

This one goes to my youngest nephew. He loves wolves, and his bedroom is decorated in that motif.

My brother-in-law is an avid hunter, and has taken a black bear.

My dad loves to travel to Alaska, and I just had to make this for him.

I made this one for a colleague at work. She and I have very similar styles, and I enjoy talking with her.

Our latest task for the Lime Light Design Team was altered notebooks for the Ronald McDonald house, and St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis. I had such a blast with these, I made one for every one in my immediate family.

CD Case Calendars DONE!

It took me so long to make these - only because I was working on so many other projects, and the calendar just had to wait.
Well, here it is! I've seen so many versions and so many crafters have their own ideas of a calendar. Here's mine!
I figure I'll make another 25 of these or so to give to friends and sell. It will be a busy time getting them all done, but I will set up my assembly-line style, and all of a sudden, I'll be finished.
I hope you enjoy them!
