One Sheet Wonders - Thank You Cards

We just finished up our state testing this week, and had many volunteers from the community come to help us monitor testing in each of the classrooms. I made these
cards to send as Thank You cards. They gave up part of their day (or in some cases many days) to help us out at the school. These were just a small token to show how grateful we were that they could help us out.

Our principal, the other test coordinator and I each wrote a small note of thanks in the cards, and I delivered them Friday... and have just a few more to deliver this week.

Birthday Cards

Here are two birthday cards I made recently.

I've been having a good time taking 'old' stamps, and using them with new punches! It seems to give them new life, and makes the cards more interesting.

I'm also LOVING the new ribbon technique! Tying bows on cards doesn't always fit with the style, but running this line of ribbon really adds something elegant to the card. I find myself using it QUITE often! Plus, you can use those small ends that can't be tied into bows, and don't fit around the card bases! :) What a great way NOT to waste the ribbon!!

I really LOVE my Kitchen Sink roses stamps! They fit perfectly for any occasion!

Thank You card AND a Birthday Card

It's been so long since I posted... It's been a VERY busy summer!
I've been busy creating, even though I haven't taken the time to post... so here goes!

I made this card for a Stamping friend for whom we had a surprise birthday party! She really was very, VERY surprised! We had a great time, and she ooh'd and aaah'd at the card. :)

I really like the rose on the very bottom left of the picture. I think it turned out the best!

Inside view of the card...

Here's a card I was asked to make by our tempororary couselor... she needed a Thank You card, and was impressed with the work she'd seen on my blog and at work. Best thing was I'd just gotten my Lilac stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps in, and HAD to play with them!!!

If you stamp often, and LOVE clear stamps, you've got to take a look at Kitchen Sink Stamps. Each time I use one of my sets from this amazing company, I'm always impressed with the quality, and how they make the images look SO realistic! It's an amazing technology they've got to take apart an image so we can layer the stamps to get such impressive, 3D looking, and AMAZING!!!!!
Please enjoy!!

Your kind comments are always welcome.

Mom's Birthday Cards 2010

I just received one of my new stamp sets from Kitchen Sink Stamps (Thanks, Mary!!)

Lilacs are absolutely my very favorite flowers so I just had to have this stamp set. After working with the layers for awhile, I cut the purple and white background layers from one of my Nestabilities sets, and set to stamping!

The purple lilacs in the yard always smelled the absolute best and were always my favorite. I miss seeing them in the spring.

Here on the inside of the card is another set of layered stamps to make the May flower: Lily of the Valley.

I saw this card on the Cricut Messageboard, and had to give it a try!!
The cone and all parts are cut from the Sweet Treats cart at 4 1/2 inches. Each piece is then run through the embossing folder Argyle for the cone, or Divine Swirls for the ice cream.
I used my Stampin' Up Slot punch to make the jimmies, and one of my SU stamp sets for the sentiment. The 3/4 inch circle cut the cherry for the top perfectly.

Happy Birthday Mom!!! Sorry we couldn't be there this year, but we'll see you soon!
Love, Sue and Bennie

Cards for Soldiers "Happy Birthday" 3/19 - 4/9/2010

Do you know what 130 "inchie" cupcakes look like after they've been colored with Stampin' Up markers? Here they are!!

Here are just a few samples of the 35 cards I made this time for our Cards for Soldiers group on the Cricut Message Board. One of the members came up with a 3 sheet wonder, and I was playing around with the different variations. Gotta LOVE DCWV papers... so perfect to go with the cupcakes!

More One-Sheet-Wonders for Mom's Stationery Box!

Good Morning!
Yes, it's really crazy-early, but I just couldn't sleep, and was here on the computer, so I thought I'd post some of the pictures I've been too busy lately to get on the blog.

This is the last set of the OSW cards I made with my Mom while she was here.

This set comes from the few days they were here on their way back from their month-long Arizona trip.

Please enjoy! There are LOTS of pictures!!
