Stampin' Up Club! ~ July Project!

We got to use the new In-color... Melon Mambo! I sure love this color in person!! It's 4 places on the card, so you can see the different 'uses'. Background cardstock, the polka-dot ribbon, the larger circle with the white dotted accents, and the flowers stamped on the butterfly image are all Melon Mambo. Don't you LOVE it!!??

We also added detail by stamping a VERY light pink shadow behind the butterfly.

One of the ladies in our club requested learning the technique of using the Color Spritzer Tool.
Can you see the Chocolate Chip and Turquoise "spattered" elements on the card background? It just adds something... and is a ton of fun to do!!!

We also used the brass template to emboss the flowers on the main image. I'm sorry you can't see that here, but it's very nice in person!!

Please enjoy!!

Flowerpot Swap finished!

This is one of a set of six Flowerpot cards I made for a swap on the Cricut Messageboard. We'd made one at my Stampin' Up Club in April, and all of a sudden, they were everywhere!

I used the following things from Stampin' Up: Lovely Lilac, Real Red, and Pink Passion Craft inks, Tangerine Tango classic ink, and Close to Cocoa classic ink; the Eastern Blooms stamp set large flower, the One of a Kind stamp set flowers and coordinating punch, the Curly Label punch with the Elegant Cheer stamp set.

I cut, then embossed the flowerpots with the Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug folder, and punched the edge with the MS arch border. From the Old World stack, I also arch-border punched some coordinating paper, and attached it under for a double border.

The card is held together with some sheer lilac ribbon, and the punch on the front with Just a Note from the Stampin' Up set.

I stamped and then heat embossed the flowers with Ranger embossing powder, made centers, and then attached the pieces with brads. The leaves are dark and light green cuts from the Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge.

Stampin' Up Club! ~ April Project!

We used a 2-step stamp set for this, and instead of a contrasting ink, we used silver embossing powder for the top layer of the flowers.... so COOL!!!
We also used the silver embossing for the sentiment, distressing on the green cardstock, and some of the Stampin' Up hardware pieces.

This is such an adorable card! The ribbon holds the cardstock together, and the flowers slide right in... the next picture shows the detail.
**How many times have we discovered that looks can be deceiving?? I searched and searched for the right brads to use for the flower centers. The background yellows, purples and pinks make the brad change color! That's actually an orange brad on top of the yellow center. Doesn't it look peachy?! It really got me!
Here you can see the inside detail of the card. I didn't think quick enough before I ran the adhesive on the white cardstock to ink the edges.... next time!

I ordered the two stamp sets, just 'cause they are so awesome! The large flowers on the pot card are from the same set as the stamps from the window card I posted from March!! So so versatile! I just LOVE that!

Please enjoy!

Stampin' Up Club! ~ March Project!

This card used lots of punches, and I LOVE that! The scallop edge punch and the 3 sizes of oval punches in green backgrounds and then after we'd stamped our images.
I've had a Stamp-a-ma-jig for awhile and use it often, but now had a chance to use another of the two-step stamping groups.
I had a heck of a time tying that bow - and needed help! Guess I need to work on free-hand bows. I wish I had my Ultimate Crafter's Companion.. but that's just too big to bring to a group. :)

This card was so fun to make!! We used that label punch 2 or 3 times to punch the window in the card, and two of the sentiment pieces for the inside.
The outside is stamped with Versamark ink, then we used clear embossing powder and a heat gun to bring up the branches in relief.
Stampin' Up had that little flap punch - to keep the card closed - We ran some ribbon through a small punch in the flap to make it so cute!!

Here you can see the inside of the card... lining up the window and the sentiment were pretty easy, and we used a variety of the stamps to finish our project. I'm definitely going to play with this idea some more for cards... it's fun, and so cute!!

I'm enjoying my once-a-month group meetings so much... we made these two great cards Monday night... and this time I ordered from the products we used. I want to order the Love You Much set from our January meeting, but that will be in the future. I just have too many other things on my list!!
