Falling Leaves Window

I saw a version of this card on Pinterest as I was surfing at lunch one day, and wanted to play with this card technique.

The images in the background are colored using the ink pads, and the aqua painter.

I don't make many fall themed cards, but the technique really caught my eye and made me want to play with it.

April 2015 Christmas Cards

ALMOST caught up with the Christmas cards!

I love this wreath!  It makes such great cards!  It takes a bit of concentration to line up the stamps, but that's just a bit of a learning curve.  What I love so much about this is the die set that bundled with it!  I can stamp and cut wreaths in no time!  They go so quickly!  Love them!
Do you believe I started with a WHITE card base?  I used the Hardwood stamp in Crumb Cake, then sponged the surface to match the stamp.  I then added Soft Suede to the edges so the focus would be drawn to the center.
The Noel is a die cut that came with the wreath set of dies and is cut from red glimmer paper.

Here you can see all 6 in the set.

January:  6 cards
February:  6 cards
March:  6 cards
April:  6 cards.
Total:  24 Christmas cards!  YAY!  :)

Christmas Cards 2014

No, I haven't forgotten about making Christmas Cards!

As I said, this teaching full time really cuts into my crafting time!  I finally feel like I'm getting my head above water... so I've taken some time to get back to it (a little).  I still don't like it one little bit.
This wreath was the first WOW I saw in the fall/Christmas Holiday catalog.  It's right at the beginning when you open up the catalog (p. 9), and I could see lots of possibilities with this.

The wreath stamp set is bundled with the die cuts  (don't skip that!) and is a clear stamp set so you can see very clearly where to place the stamps.  I used Pear Pizzazz for the base,  Garden Green for the darker leaves, and Real Red for the berries.  I added Christmas Red Stickles to give the card a little sparkle on the berries.  Cherry Cobbler Seam binding bow, and the Decorative label punch for the Merry Christmas.
The wood grain background is stamped in Crumb Cake.
This card has some of my very favorite things...  the Merry Christmas stamp, and the double seam binding bow.  Yes, I've come around to the seam binding side!  :)
