Post 9 of New "Old" Things - Get Well Card

October, 2008

One of my husband's colleagues fell at home, and hurt himself, so DH requested a get well card. This guy has quite a sense of humor, so I used the PDDU cart twice - once for the boy in pajamas, and then cut out the mummy. I trimmed off the leg, and used it as a cast!

I used my clear stamps to double-stamp and emboss the Get Well Soon image, and popped it with some 3m dots. I also used my Stampin'Up Baroque wheel and the Fiskars ribbon punch to thread the ribbon through.

The colors here on the computer don't look that great, but IRL, it worked GREAT.

CD Case Calendars DONE!

It took me so long to make these - only because I was working on so many other projects, and the calendar just had to wait.
Well, here it is! I've seen so many versions and so many crafters have their own ideas of a calendar. Here's mine!
I figure I'll make another 25 of these or so to give to friends and sell. It will be a busy time getting them all done, but I will set up my assembly-line style, and all of a sudden, I'll be finished.
I hope you enjoy them!

Latest Cards for Soldiers Challenge - Homecoming! 9/8 to 9/22

Our theme for this short challenge was Homecoming. So what do you initially think when someone says Homecoming?? High School! Prom, Court, King, Queen, Princesses on the Court, floats, parade, band, football game you hope your team wins, etc.

After reading the challenge closer, and looking at some of the other comments from the members, I realized it was the Soldier's that are coming home! (Even better than what I initially thought!)

So here is the card I made for the Homecoming challenge. I hope you like it!
