Mom's Cricut Bouquet

Click HERE to view the most recent posts on Sue's Cricut and Crafts.   THANKS so much!

OK, Yes, I said I was done with those bouquets for awhile, but Mom came to visit, so I just HAD to make her one.. I had a clay pot, and floral foam left to do just ONE more.... but I made her help!

I used the Walk in my Garden cartridge, and if you look in the flowers, you'll see a bee, butterfly, and ladybug.
Instead of cutting 2 black shadows, I cut one shadow, and 2 colored pieces, so each of the pieces in the bouquet is 2 sided, and can be viewed at any angle. Mom wants to put it on the kitchen table, so I thought that would help solve the 1 sided problem with my school project pots.

I hope you enjoy!

Halloween Cards for Soldiers! August 17 - Sept. 7, 2008

I had more fun making these than I thought!

I used Paper Studio paper from Hobby Lobby - Spiderwebs and Halloween Stripe cut at 2" by 4", and Halloween Words cut at 4" by 6". I used a Stampendous stamp "Bugs and Hisses" and Studio G Series 12 October stamps for the pumpkin and 'trick or treat' accents.

Cricut cart PaperDolls Dress Up helped me cut out the mummy, the ghost, and alien. I also cut black spiderwebs, but my husband said, "Spiderwebs are white." So I cut some white ones and layered them 'cause I just couldn't waste those cool looking black ones! I also cut the pumpkins from the PDDU cart, and used my Sakura glaze pens and Marvy brush markers to color them.

Pick-Me-Up Card for a Friend

I've got a co-worker and friend who's had some health related battles lately. She's doing alright, but has ups and downs. I'm hoping that this and some notes from the staff will add some cheer to her recovery.
I used the new Graphically Speaking and Storybook cartridges for the cuts - the swirls are cut at 4.5 in., the butterfly icon at 2.5 in. and the journey jumble cut at 2 inches. Stickles (my favorite) I used were Starry Night, Candy Cane, and Waterfall.

2 More Locker Talk Bouquets

So the story goes that our Library assistant was sad to see the centerpieces I made leave our library and go to the conference room, so I made one for her - and my principal asked me to make one for our front office. Here's the office centerpiece. As always, comments are welcome. I really enjoy making these, but now I'm done for a bit. I think the next centerpieces will be flowers - just for variety!

Newest Project HERE!

Here they are!
I got the inspiration for these flowerpot bouquets from the Cricut Messageboard http://www.cricut.com/ and since I just got the Locker Talk cart, I knew I HAD to use it!!!
In the library, we have 6 tables used for meetings, etc. I think these will be GREAT centerpieces!
Most of the cuts are 3 inches - I used Stickles for highlights, and got advice from the messageboard members on how to mount the cuts to the sticks. Once I figured that out with their help, I was off and running! I also used some stickers to decorate the pots so they weren't so plain, and used paper confetti to cover the tops of the pots.
As always, comments are welcome.
