May 2010 Stamp Club's Cards!

For our May, 2010 meeting, I was hostess... so I made lots of yummy things for everyone to enjoy along with our usual card making projects provided by our Stampin' Up Demonstrator Kathy. She always has such GREAT ideas for us!!

This card uses the stamp set Trendy Trees. It's a 2 Step Stampin' technique with lots of great options! We stamped the Happy Birthday on the ribbon... what fun!!

This card is actually made from Sizzlets cutting/embossing plates! It went together very quickly, and with the addition of the ribbon (5/8 in. satin Certainly Celery) and the 1/2 pearls with flat backs, we were done in a flash!! We also sprayed the white embossed layer with the shimmer paints. I'm sorry you can't see that well. It really adds a nice touch to the background.

Please enjoy!!

Nephew's Birthday Card

My youngest nephew's birthday was coming up - and in trying to be a good Aunt, I had to call my sister to find out what his latest favorite colors are. (In addition to getting him the birthday card on time.) :)

Red and Black was the answer for his favorite colors... and having done some wonderful cards with my Stampin' Up rep lately... this is what I came up with!

Inside view:

After cutting and inking all the layers, I got out my Circle Circus stamp set, and had fun stamping all over the red!!! I know he liked the card as I got an estatic THANKS! when I spoke with him. Whew!!

:)

Please enjoy!!

April's Stampin' Up Card Club Cards!

Way to go, Kathy! She's been giving us lots of GREAT options for male/masculine cards to make! the 'girly' ones seems so easy, but what do you make as a card for the men?
We all have them... Dad, Grandpa, son, nephew, cousin, etc. etc. Kathy always comes up with excellent cards we can use for the men in our lives!

Here we used the dotted jumbo wheel (retired) and another stamp in Close to Coca ink for the inked piece, the 'new' Modern Label punch, and the Happy Birthday stamp in silver embossing powder from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set. A grommet and some brown satiny ribbon set off the paper perfectly! Can you see how the base cream colored piece is just lightly embossed?

This adorable card is from the brand new 2 step-stampin' set called: Awash with Flowers. You can order it in the upcoming release in July - but this is a sneak peek! It's an adorable card again using the Modern Label punch and the Teeny Tiny Wishes.

We also used another technique - I'm not sure you can see it unless you look VERY closely. We sprayed some of the Shimmer Paints onto the pink background. Lots of fun, and it looks SO pretty!!

We use those Teeny Tiny Wishes so much... I'll have to re-think purchasing them!
