Tracy's Christmas Challenge

First, I LOVE this idea!

Christmas has to be my favorite of all the holidays. Crisp, cold days; snow on the ground; Christmas lights making everything cheery; the Christmas tree sparkling with all its lights...

Tracy's Christmas Challenge is an awesome idea... even with all my projects, I'm really going to try to do this one! It just sounds like fun, and I can have Christmas every month. What could be better than that! ? !

More when I get the first cards finished!

Who wants to join?? Come on! I know you do!

Thanks so much to Mudmaven for posting this idea from Tracy.

My Very First Blog Award!

Christy Dillman (Christy's Zaney Creations) is one of our amazing CFS Queens. She has presented me with this Blog Award! I'm completely flattered to know that my work inspires her! So - here's a very short list of all the people that have inspired me! Christy, I hope you know I am just jumping up and down all over the place!! LOL

The Lemonade Award is given by a previous winner to 5 people who have shown a great attitude or gratitude this week.

Isn't this a nice way to show other bloggers how much you appreciate their work?

So here's what you need to do now.

1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
2. Nominate at least 5 blogs, which show great Attitude and/or Gratitude! Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.
3. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
4. Share the love and link to this post and to the person from whom you received your award.

I have decided to nominate:

1. The Pink Stamper - Robyn - she has been a stand-out in her videos and all the things I've learned from her on her blog. Keep going, Robyn! You are an inspiration to so many!

2. OkieLadyBug - Okie! We talk so often, but I want to send you this award to show you how much I appreciate everything I've learned from you!!

3. Dawn's Stamping Thoughts - Dawn doesn't know me, but now she will get to see exactly how much she's inspired my work. She puts out the most amazing videos through YouTube... All I do is search Dawn5377 and I've got something new to learn!!

4. Everything Cricut - Gracie, Hmmm what to say? She is the leader of our Design Team and graciously allowed me to participate as a member of the team. Her work as a Cricut crafter is unequaled. Her blog is an amazing storehouse of information. I learn something new everytime I go there.
and

5. Nilda on The Cuttlebug Spot - I purchased a CB shortly after I got my E... but Nilda has taken the Cuttlebug and showed us so much that can be done with it above and beyond embossing!! Go Nilda!!!

Crazy Kitties on Catnip from "Grandma"!

So Mom was so excited to tell me about this package she was sending... no mention it was actually for the kitties!!! (My parents don't like cats!) Isn't that funny... she actually had to go out and buy some catnip to make them! LOL It's pretty fresh - I can smell the aroma from here. The effects are lasting even longer than the 15 minutes it's supposed to last. Hmmmmm

So here's the kitties playing with their newest toys.

New Cricut Cartridge - Wild Card! Flower Card: Bloom Where You're Planted; Argyle and Oval Cards

My first Wild Card: Argyle - I also embossed the
lighter blue background with the Perfectly Paisley
Cuttlebug folder.

I just love this Oval card... the outer yellow frame
is embossed with the Divine Swirls Cuttlebug folder,
and stickled over the embossing with yellow.

Envelope for the Flower card...

This is actually the third card I've made from this Cricut Cartridge... and so far it's my absolute favorite! I think it's the inking that did it.... and some of the glaze pen work. I'll agree with you that I don't like that little purple flower on the left. (It is going to be changed!!) This just turned out so so cute!

I really like the sentiment: Bloom Where You're Planted

Tin Target Mini-Mailboxes

Bennie and I went looking for these at our local Target... they were hiding in the dollar bins! I grabbed a bunch of these. They are so so cute... I'm going to have lots of fun using these for all kinds of projects. Of course, they're perfect for Valentine's Day!

Spinner Card for Design Team

I saw a tutorial on YouTube (Dawn5377) for these spinner cards quite awhile ago... and instead of using a punch, I decided to try using my Nestabilities. They sure work GREAT!
This card has just a little of everything. I used my Stampin' Around wheel "Watercolor Joy" and my white stamp pad and kaleidoscope embossing powder for the Thank You's. The Swiss Dots always make a nice addition.
I even went right out and ordered that Tart 'n' Tangy Set... What fun!!!

Cards for Soldiers "Spring" 1/5 - 1/25

Our challenge this time was to scrap our stash - and the theme was Spring. I'm not a big fan of the color green - BUT I had this cute St. Pat's Day paper.... and the new Series 26 Studio G stamps I was dying to use... I also got my new Stampin' Up stamp pads... and the Glorious Green was a perfect color.

Sister's Birthday Gift; Stationery Box

Here are pics of the Stationery Box I made for my sister. She just LOVES purple!! Can you tell? It's got a dozen of the notecard size, 6 smaller Thank You cards holographically embossed on the left, and 6 really tiny Thank You cards on the right side.

I really enjoy making these... Mom's already got in her order for her birthday!!
